Volume 3 of "Star Wars:Visions," a short anthology series produced by a Japanese animation studio based on the popular sci-fi series "Star Wars," created by George Lucas and influenced by Japanese culture, will be available exclusively on Disney+ from October 29th.

A key visual featuring the unique characters that color the stories in this series, which consists of nine stories, has been unveiled.

"Star Wars:Visions" creates a unique story that is free from the constraints of official history through the innovative "vision" of Japanese animators.

While inheriting the legacy, it also incorporates the spirit of Japanese anime culture, such as the delicacy that evokes Japanese beauty, the "cuteness" unique to anime, and the overwhelming character of the characters, bringing out deep affection and new charm.

The key visual, in keeping with the third installment in the series, features characters created by each studio's vision, arranged to form the Roman numeral "III."

Familiar Star Wars characters and items, such as glowing red and blue lightsabers and cute droids, are depicted in the style unique to a Japanese animation studio that is popular worldwide, creating a visual that beautifully combines Star Wars and Japanese culture.

James Waugh, executive producer of the series, recalls, "The talent, artistry, and unwavering vision of the creators are the power behind Japanese anime and the reason it captivates people all over the world. In Star Wars:Visions Volume 1, we were overwhelmed by the world of the Star Wars galaxy depicted by renowned Japanese creators, and deeply moved by the expressiveness and story. We immediately felt a strong desire to expand this world with more studios and storytellers."

He added, "Volume 3 beautifully combines the depth of Japanese culture, the magnificent worldview of Star Wars, and the expressive method of anime, resulting in works that can truly be called 'miracle'. We are truly proud of the creativity and passion that has gone into these works, and we hope that everyone will enjoy this special experience." He expressed confidence in the new Star Wars story that Volume 3, which fans around the world are eagerly awaiting, will present.

"Star Wars:Visions" Volume 3 will be available for streaming on October 29th.

Nine of Japan's world-renowned studios are involved in the production: Kamikaze Douga + ANIMA, Kinema Citrus, Production I.G, TRIGGER, WIT STUDIO, Project Studio Q, Polygon Pictures, and David Productions.
