It has been announced that the earliest screening of the MAPPA-produced animated film "Chainsaw Man: Reze Arc" will begin at midnight on September 19th, the film's release date.
It will be screened at 12 theaters in five cities across Japan.
It has also been announced that a stage greeting to commemorate the release will be held on September 20th.
Appearing on stage will be Toya Kikunosuke (Denji), Kusunoki Tomori (Makima), Sakata Shogo (Aki Hayakawa), Ueda Reina (Reze), Uchida Yuya (Violent Demon), Uchida Maaya (Angel Devil), and Takahashi Karin (Higashiyama Kobeni).
The stage greeting will be broadcast live to 346 theaters nationwide.
In addition, it has been decided that the film will be screened in MX4D (12 theaters), 4DX (62 theaters), and Dolby Cinema (9 theaters) from October 4th (number of theaters is tentative).
It has also been announced that the IMAX version will be available from the release date, September 19th.
The series is based on the manga "Chainsaw Man" by Tatsuki Fujimoto, which is currently being serialized in "Weekly Shonen Jump."
Denji, a devil hunter struggling with poverty, becomes Chainsaw Man with the heart of a demon and engages in a life-or-death battle with demons.
The "Reze Arc," a sequel to the TV anime version that will air in 2022, will depict a new story that begins with Denji's encounter with the mysterious girl Reze.
