"Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba the Movie: Mugen Castle Arc Chapter 1" grosses over 31.4 billion yen in 52 days since its release
Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba the Movie: Mugen Castle Arc Chapter 1 - Akaza Returns has attracted 22,007,405 viewers and grossed 31,425,916,900 yen in the 52 days since its release.
This breaks the record set by its predecessor, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba the Movie: Mugen Train, and has achieved the feat of becoming the fastest movie in the history of Japanese releases to surpass 30 billion yen (according to Kogyo Tsushinsha).

The "Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba" anime series is based on the manga by Koyoharu Gotouge, which was serialized in "Weekly Shonen Jump" (Shueisha) from 2016 to 2020.
Set in the Taisho era, it depicts the story of a young boy, Tanjiro Kamado, whose sister was turned into a demon, as he throws himself into the battle against demons led by Muzan Kibutsuji.
The first season of the TV series, "Tanjiro Kamado: Unwavering Resolve Arc," aired in 2019, and by 2024, the "Infinity Train Arc," "Red Light District Arc," "Swordsmith Village Arc," and "Hashira Training Arc" had been produced.
The "Infinity Castle Arc" will be adapted into a three-part theatrical anime film depicting the final battle that takes place in "Infinity Castle," the demon's base.
