The original manga "Fist of the North Star," which was serialized in "Weekly Shonen Jump" (Shueisha) from 1983 to 1988, is set in a late-century world where civilization has been lost due to nuclear war and violence has taken over. It depicts Kenshiro, the successor of the Hokuto Shinken, as he grows into a savior while carrying both love and sorrow.

The re-animated series, "Fist of the North Star," is scheduled to begin broadcasting and streaming in 2026.

Comments from Takagi, Mogami, and Kusunoki, along with information about their characters, are set to follow.

Q1. Enthusiasm for this production:

I'm honored to be playing Jagi in the legendary "Fist of the North Star" anime, which is being revived after 40 years.

I hope everyone will enjoy the newly reborn world of "Fist of the North Star" while inheriting the powerful energy and human drama felt back then. Since the production was pre-recorded, I'm personally very excited to see what the finished product will look like.

Q2. What's your favorite line from "Fist of the North Star"?
"Tell me my name..."

Q3. Your favorite character:
It has to be Jagi, right?

Q4. How did you first encounter "Fist of the North Star"?
I remember borrowing it from a friend and reading it, and hearing "You're already dead" everywhere.
I remember feeling like I had become stronger (laughs).

Q5. What is necessary to survive in the end of the century?
Belief. You can't survive without it. Who do you think is the successor to Hokuto Shinken?
There is no younger brother better than his older brother!! Of course. Hahaha, hahaha!

[Tsuguo Mogami (role of Toki)]

Q1. Your enthusiasm for this work.
When I was chosen to play Toki, I immediately went to the late Kenji Utsumi, president of Ken Productions, to report the news. I felt as if he was saying to me in that voice, "Oh, Toki is your best friend. Do your best!"
I feel as though a very heavy weight has been entrusted to me, both for the work and for Ken Productions.
I look forward to enjoying this weight.

Q2. What's your favorite line from "Fist of the North Star"?
There are many, but... "The time for my vow has come! Now I will surpass you!!"

Q3. Your favorite character.
Of course, Toki! ...But Fist of the North Star has a lot of passionate men, so I like them all...I especially like characters like Shu, Fudo, Ein, and Falco, who have a strong desire to protect.

Q4. How did you first encounter "Fist of the North Star"?
I was born in 1980, so I think the first thing I saw was the anime rather than the manga. There was a Hokuto craze going on, and pretending to hit acupressure points was all the rage (lol).
Then I read the manga when I was in the fourth grade, and I became hooked, thinking how cool the passion, love, and way of life were.

Q5. What do you need to survive in the end of the century?
A smile and non-resistance! Just kidding! (lol)
That said, I really don't think I could survive in that end-of-the-century world...
I want to somehow reach the Miracle Village (after Toki arrives) or the village protected by Falco...

[Daisuke Kusunoki (role of Raoh)]

▽Character Information
The eldest of the four Hokuto brothers. He calls himself "Ken-oh," the end-of-the-century champion, and organizes the "Ken-oh Army." Riding his beloved horse, Koku-oh, he aims to unify the devastated world.

Q1. Your enthusiasm for this series.
"Fist of the North Star" is a nationally beloved work, and a part of my youth. I was still a student when it aired, and the day after it aired, everyone was excited about it.
Even after I became a voice actor, my feelings for this series have never faded. It's a textbook-like work. I highly respect the original voice actors, and even auditioning for it was an immense pressure. Having overcome those challenges, I will now take on the challenge with even greater pressure. At the same time, I feel a much greater joy and a great honor to be able to act in it. All of these feelings well up in my heart as passionate emotions.
I will participate in this series with all my heart, filled with the utmost love until the very end.

Q2. Your favorite line from "Fist of the North Star."
Lin: "Ken! Yuria-san, Yuria-san is alive!"
Kenshiro: "What! Haa haa!"
Raoh: "Fu! Goooooo!"
The scene from this sequence to Raoh's ascension.

Q3. Your favorite character.
Of course, the Four Hokuto Brothers. To be honest, there are so many that it's hard to choose.
Mr. Chiba, who played Jakou.

Q4. How did you first encounter "Fist of the North Star?"
I started watching it as a TV anime in high school, and I remember often stroking the acupressure points in vocational school. After that, I bought all the comics, and sold them about three times when I ran out of money.

Q5. What do you need to survive in the end of the century?
Friendship overcomes sadness, and ultimately the power of love.
