"Frieren: Beyond Journey's End" TV anime first season retrospective screening to be held at 9 theaters across Japan
To commemorate the second anniversary of the broadcast of the anime "Frieren: Beyond Journey's End," a "Special Screening of Season 1 Retrospective - Memories of a Journey" will be held at TOHO Cinemas Shinjuku in Tokyo and nine other theaters nationwide.
The first season of the TV anime, consisting of 28 episodes, will be divided into five chapters and will be screened on September 27th, October 11th and 25th, and November 15th and 29th.
As an admission bonus, special character stickers (with a different design for each episode) will be distributed.
Additionally, on September 26th, a screening of Chapter 1 "Departure" (episodes 1-6) will be held at TOHO Cinemas Roppongi Hills in Tokyo, with a stage greeting from Tanezaki Atsumi (role of Freiren), Ichinose Kana (role of Fern), and Kobayashi Chiaki (role of Stark).
Tickets are priced at 2,700 yen.
The series is based on the manga of the same name currently being serialized in Weekly Shonen Sunday.
Set in a world where the Demon King has been defeated by heroes, it follows the journey of Freiren, a magician who has lived for over 1,000 years and was a member of the hero's party, and the new people she meets.
The first season of the TV anime, produced by Madhouse, will air from September 2023 to March 2024.
The second season will start in January 2026.
