It has been decided that the manga "Kill Blue" from "Weekly Shonen Jump" (published by Shueisha) will be adapted into a TV anime in 2026. A teaser PV and teaser visual have also been released.
Hiro Kaburagi of the "Kimi ni Todoke" anime series will be the director, Miho Daidoji will be the character designer, and the animation will be produced by the up-and-coming studio CUE.
The series was first serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump in 2011 by Tadatoshi Fujimaki, the creator of Kuroko's Basketball. The 39-year-old legendary assassin, Juzo Ookami, is stung by a mysterious bee and transformed into a 13-year-old. While attending junior high school, he faces various incidents and battles with assassins in this youthful action comedy.
The full comment from the original author, Fujimaki, is as follows:

Thank you to all the readers who have supported me up until now. The serialization is coming to an end, but I'm fortunate enough to have it turned into an anime! The old man moves! You can hear the sound of slurping ramen! The home economics club members talk! ...How can I put it into words? I don't know if it's amazing or not. It will be broadcast next year, and the remaining comics will be out by then, so I'm thinking of doing something on my own. I'm not sure if "Kill Blue" is amazing or not, but I hope you'll continue to enjoy it and look forward to the anime with a vague sense of anticipation.
