"Magical Girl Raising Project" is a media mix project based on the suspense battle novel (published by Takarajimasha) by Endo Asari, which has been in publication since 2012.
The previous TV anime series, "Magical Girl Raising Project" (12 episodes), aired in 2016 and depicted Snow White (voiced by Toyama Nao) and her friends, who became magical girls through the power of the social game "Magical Girl Raising Project," as they took on a life-risking survival game.
The title of the second season, "Magical Girl Raising Project Restart," is the same as the title of volumes 2 and 3 (part 1 and part 2) of the original novel.

The teaser trailer begins with the caption, "Approximately 10 years since the previous anime... a new 'development plan' begins..."
It also includes footage from the main story featuring new magical girls, as well as an introduction to the main staff.
Additionally, at Animelo Summer Live 2025 "ThanXX!", held at Saitama Super Arena from August 29th to 31st, Minori Chihara, who had previously been announced to perform the opening theme song "No tears here," performed the song for the first time in the world.
The full comments from staff and Kayahara are as follows:
[Hiroyuki Hashimoto (Director)]
I'm Hashimoto Hiroyuki, and I'll be continuing to serve as animation director this time as I did last time.
It's been almost 10 years since the original series was last broadcast, and I'm really happy to be involved in another "Magical Girl Raising Project" anime.
Just like the original, this time around, the human relationships of many characters are intricately intertwined, so I hope you'll look forward to seeing how that plays out in the anime.
Adapting "Mahoiku" into an anime is always a challenge (laughs), but it's still a rewarding project and I have a lot of fun making it. I hope you'll look forward to the broadcast.
[Takao Yoshioka (series composition and script)]
I am very happy to be involved with "Magical Girl Raising Project" once again.
It is reassuring to be able to work with Director Hashimoto again after the previous film, and work on series composition and scriptwriting has already been completed.
This time, "restart" features a different setting from the previous film, and new, fascinating characters will move the story forward significantly. The mystery-like development is thrilling, and there were many parts that I felt would be difficult to visualize, but I sought to find a way to express them in an anime format.
I am sure the results of this challenge will be enjoyed by both fans of the original work and those experiencing it for the first time.
Please look forward to the broadcast.
[Masako Ito (character design)]
I've been asked to design the animation characters for "Magical Girl Raising Project: Restart."
This is the first time I've been entrusted with the role of character designer, so I'm very nervous.
I've been involved with "Mahoiku" since the original series (where I worked as an SD character designer), so it's a memorable project for me, and I'm very happy to be able to take part again.
All of Maruino-sensei's characters are charming and cute, so I did my best to recreate them as much as possible in the anime.
[Miri Chihara (opening theme song)]
Once again, congratulations on the TV anime adaptation of "Magical Girl Raising Project: Restart."
I played the role of Demon Lord Pam in the drama reading of "Mahoiku," and now I've been given the opportunity to perform the opening theme song again.
The title is "No tears here." The lyrics are by Hata Aki, and the music and arrangement are by Q-MHz. I created the song by superimposing my own current self onto the fighting magical girls and non-fighting magical girls.
The song is already complete, but its release will be a while off. I hope you will look forward to it along with the anime broadcast.
I am looking forward to that moment, along with all of you.

Animated project in progress (C) 神馬耶樹 ひらふみ/Suiseisha Inc. The story is a romantic comedy about the new life of Kota, who became siblings after his parents remarried, and Aika, a high school girl with a kogyaru personality. The two are very different in personality and often clash, but Aika gradually begins to take an interest in Kota, who is very caring. Comments from the original author and celebratory illustrations are as follows: [Hirafumi (original work)] When I heard about the anime adaptation, I thought (the editor was telling me a big lie to motivate me). But it was true. I'm sorry for doubting you. I'd like to express my gratitude to everyone involved in the production! [Il...
