The TV anime series "The Invisible Man and the Human Woman: The Two Who Will Become Husband and Wife" is scheduled to begin airing in January 2026, and details have been announced about the appearances of Sugiyama Riho and Fukunishi Katsuya, as well as the theme song.
The first trailer has also been released.

The original work is a romantic comedy fantasy manga by Iwatobi Neko, serialized on Futabasha's manga site, Web Action.
Set in a world where humans coexist with other races, the story follows the growing attraction between the "invisible man" detective Tonome Akira (voiced by Azagami Yohei), who is invisible to others, and Shizuka Yoraka (voiced by Nukui Yuka), a blind human woman who works at his office.
Seven volumes of the manga have been published so far.

Sugiyama will play Jarashi Luna, a beast-woman and investigator at the Tonome Detective Agency with a big sister-like personality, while Fukunishi will play Kikira Daichi, a human man who appears gruff but is actually a diligent person.
The film will be produced using pre-recording, where audio is recorded prior to the completion of the visuals.
Visuals of the cast, which match the worldview of the film, have also been released.

The opening theme song will be "Ding-dong" by singer-songwriter Abe Mao, and the ending theme song will be "Hoshi Megane" by voice actress and artist Ishihara Kaori.
The first promotional video, which uses "Ding-dong" and "Hoshi Megane," depicts the love story between Tonogan and Yoruka as their bond gradually deepens, and also includes voiceover scenes featuring Sharakuko and Onikira.

The full comments from the cast and theme song artists are as follows:

I had read the original manga before, so I'm really happy to be able to play Sharakuko!
Sharakuko is an honest, strong-willed, and cool woman, but as you get to know her, you can see her slightly absent-minded side and her girlish side, which she aspires to be. She's a wonderful girl. I personally have a lot in common with Sharakuko, so I let myself be myself when I played her.
I'd be happy if I could expand on this work, which is full of wonderful individuality, through the anime, so I hope you'll all enjoy the broadcast!
Thank you!

[Katsuya Fukunishi (role of Onikira Daichi)]

In this world, everyone enjoys their own lives, cares for each other, and enjoys each day as they are.
Onikira, who lives there, is a slightly clumsy but extremely loving person. Those around him also treat him with love.
I love Onikira! As someone who loves him, I am honored to have been given the role of providing his voice.
Please look forward to "The Invisible Man and the Human Woman," an anime filled with love from the original author, Iwatobi Neko, and the entire staff!
BIG LOVE♡

[Mao Abe (opening theme song)]

I will be performing the opening theme song for the TV anime series "The Invisible Man and the Human Woman: The Two Who Will Become Husband and Wife"!
"The wonder of everyone being able to accept and love each other as they are."
I really love how this is portrayed in a beautiful, adorable, and sometimes comical way in this work.
I also feel that this is something very important as someone living in the modern age.
I wrote the song with all my heart, hoping to capture even a little of the emotion and warmth I felt when reading the original work in the music.
I hope that Abe Mao's song will be one of the things that adds color to this work!

[Kaori Ishihara (ending theme song)]

I've been given the opportunity to perform the ending theme song for "The Invisible Man and the Human Woman: The Two Who Will Become Husband and Wife"!
It's a unique and warm story, and a work that will make your heart flutter and make your heart race!
The ending theme song was created with Tounogan, Yoruka, and the other characters in mind, so please look forward to the broadcast ♡
